Nobody said starting your impossible would be easy, but these athletes prove that when we are free to move, anything is possible.
The running track is where Antonio Flores feels most free. This is his story.
When I was young, I dreamt of being able to move. I was born with Talipes Equinovarus, also known as club foot. I went through many surgeries to correct this, first one when I was only a few months old.
On some days I can't even stand still. Some believe my amputation was a mistake. Or to achieve better results.
I'm not afraid of pain or failure. Few realise my will to freedom of movement. When I found running I fell in love.
Following my amputation, my only desire was to get back on the track. I discovered a new version of myself.
Getting selected for Tokyo was my biggest realisation following Beijing 2008. Nothing will stop me from running. Running is my freedom. When we're free to move, anything is possible.
This is not my disability, this is my ability.
